Mini-Experts

Who Can Be Involved?

Mini-Experts is a space created for therapists, teachers, and professionals working in this field who touch the lives of children in the selective mutism process.

At school, in therapy, or in daily life — building communication with a pair of eyes looking at you without speaking takes tremendous effort.

The contribution of everyone working in this field is invaluable.

Because sometimes what makes a difference in a child's life is not a sentence spoken in a loud voice; it's a silent bond formed at the right moment.

We thank all the professionals working in the field of selective mutism who have touched the lives of children, including my brother.

Teachers

hear the sound of silence amidst the noise of dozens of children in the classroom.

Play Therapists

wait patiently, without rushing, for the first word to come out as a whisper.

Occupational Therapists

read the child's body and anxiety together, opening the path to speech with small steps.

Speech and Language Therapists

know very well that where the voice can't come out, trust must be built first.

Professionals Developing Technology and AI in Healthcare

put in tremendous effort behind the scenes to make this process more accessible and sustainable.

Mini-Kits Sharing

While developing Mini-Kits,

I did not set out to present a therapy tool;

I started by observing that through the LEGO-based personalized spaces and minifigures my brother used during his therapy process,

he was able to express himself more comfortably.

This project is very important to me.

Within the scope of Mini-Talks, I will try to deliver Mini-Kits to requesting professionals within available resources.

Filling out the Mini-Kits Request Form is all it takes.

Positive or negative,

I believe every piece of feedback you share is valuable.

I will do my best to make all improvements in line with this feedback.

What Can Be Done

Mini-Experts can support raising awareness about selective mutism through general information, talks, contributions, and collaborations.

Additionally, providing feedback on the Mini-Talks approach and supporting it is very valuable to me.

What Won't Be Done Here?

Since Mini-Talks is not a therapy platform, child-specific assessments will not be requested from professionals.
