Therapists, teachers, and professionals supporting children with selective mutism. Sharing experience, knowledge, and feedback.
Mini-Experts is a space created for therapists, teachers, and professionals working in this field who touch the lives of children with selective mutism.
At school, in therapy, or in everyday life, connecting with a child who looks at you without speaking can take enormous patience, care, and understanding.
The contribution of everyone working in this field is invaluable.
Because sometimes what makes a difference in a child's life is not a sentence spoken out loud, but a quiet connection formed at the right moment.
We thank all the professionals working in the field of selective mutism who have touched the lives of children, including my sister.
Different professionals support children in different ways, and each brings something valuable to the process.
Teachers notice the silence that can easily be missed in a classroom full of voices.
Play therapists give children the time they need, without rushing the moment when a first word may emerge as a whisper.
Occupational therapists consider the child's body and anxiety together, supporting the path toward communication through small steps.
Speech and language therapists understand that when a child cannot use their voice, building trust often comes first.
Professionals developing technology and AI in healthcare work behind the scenes to help make this process more accessible and sustainable.
While developing Mini-Kits, I did not set out to create a therapy tool. I started by observing how my sister was able to express herself more comfortably through the personalized LEGO-based spaces and minifigures she used during her therapy process.
This project is very important to me.
Within the scope of Mini-Talks, I will try to provide Mini-Kits to professionals who request them, within the resources available.
All it takes is filling out the Mini-Kits Request Form .
Positive or negative, I believe every piece of feedback you share is valuable. I will do my best to improve Mini-Kits based on this feedback.
