Mini-Volunteers is a space created for individuals who want to support children experiencing selective mutism and their families with good intentions.
You don't need to be an expert.
You don't need to have experienced this process firsthand either.
What matters is caring about approaching children without pressure and wanting to contribute to spreading awareness.
As Mini-Volunteers:
• You can share Mini-Talks announcements and awareness content.
• You can support the expansion of Awareness Areas.
• You can support children with your smile, patience, and presence.
Within the scope of Mini-Volunteers,
short introductory and informational meetings where roles and boundaries are shared can be organized.
Additionally, Mini-Volunteers,
with the consent of families and within the established framework,
can participate in Mini-Families meetings
and join children's comfortable speaking exercises
as supporters who are aware and apply no pressure.
This participation is not for guiding, but for contributing to creating a friendly and safe environment with a smiling face.
Being a Mini-Volunteer doesn't mean you have to be active.
Sometimes, just wanting to offer support is enough.
In the Mini-Volunteers area:
• Children will not be directed.
• No advice, treatment, or solutions will be offered.
• Children's processes will not be interpreted or compared.
The role of Mini-Volunteers
is not to solve, but to stand alongside.
Within the scope of Mini-Talks, I will try to deliver Mini-Kits to children whose therapy process is ongoing, within available resources.
All you need to do is fill out the "Mini-Kits Request Form" and get in touch.
As a big brother who has lived through my brother's journey and a LEGO enthusiast,
I believe that small personalizations that can be made in Mini-Kits
will positively affect children's motivation.
Whenever I can, I try to add special little touches for each child.
